OK GUY,S and LADIES.
2007 buick rendezvous 3.5 rememer NOT 3.4..........
Where in the [censored] is the PCV VALVE???????
I am a motor head, but I give uppppppp.
Please remember 2007. 3.5 liter.

Thanks,
Jaxon..

GM had so many different engines with a 3.5L displacement it's hard to think of what you've got there... I think you have the HV 3500 which would have the PCV valve pushed into the left hand (side nearest the radiator) valve cover just like a 3100 or 3400 but with a little retainer on top to discourage replacing it with an incorrect aftermarket part.

Could post a picture of what it looks like under your hood? Maybe the first person to see it would say "Oh, one of those! It's right there."

hey hey Trav.
Thanks, but nope, not there.
Staring to think this new to me vehile is a Frankenstien LOL LOL.

Later,
Jaxon..

There are absolutely no hoses to follow BACK to find it? Sorry I can't be of more help.

Nope to the follow back idea.

Possible it does not have one ???????

This is just silly. The PCV valve should be just sitting there for you to reach out and poke with your finger. The diagram Trav linked to should make the location clear as day.

Since this is not the case, there's something weird going on. Nobody will ever guess that what happened here is you have a Saturn which originally came with a 3.5L Honda engine which has been swapped out by the previous owner for a 2.2L Ecotec and the body painted a gold metallic color to trick you into thinking it's a Buick. Neither will any of us guess that you were born without eyes and didn't think to mention that because you're so used to not being able to see.

A picture is worth a thousand posts.

Like i said, i'm a pritty good motor head.. its not a saturn unless saturn and buick redevouis are COMPLETLY IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY FROM THE GLOVE BOX TO THE REAR SEATS AND EVERYTHING ELES...... ITS A BUICK 2007 3.5 LETRE RENDEVOUIS...............

I wasn't trying to say that that specifically is the problem. It was just an example of some weird thing that nobody's going to be able to guess without seeing your vehicle. The PCV valve should be very easy to find. Really, you should be able to put your hand on the valve cover where the oil goes in and move it to the right a few inches until the PCV valve stops your hand. That you haven't found it yet suggests that something specific to your vehicle is unusual.

Or it's hidden in/under something, or doesn't look like a traditional PCV. My old Buick's 3800 had the PCV hidden in a little compartment at the end of the intake manifold. The Cruze has a funny-looking plastic/rubber PCV that looks nothing like a metal PCV. I've never found our Fit's...

Try searching for GM 3500 V6 PCV. That just might lead you to an Impala forum where somebody with a 3500 powered Impy has changed their PCV.

I'm wondering if this thing may have a Honda sourced 3.5 in it. It shouldn't as the Vue was the only GM product that used the Honda AFAIK.

Look at the front of the valve cover near the radiator on the side. Look for a 10mm head bolt holding a small plastic flat part, that's the PCV.

Mystery solved kinda...dumb *%&%% GM

I have a 2004 malibu 3.5lt. Vertually the same engine. On the malibu it's where it should be. About the diameter of a mans thumb and 2 inchs long and removable.

On the rendezvous same location, however the diameter of a childs baby finger!!!!!!!!
And it's permanent, press fitted / almost rivited in. NOT,NOT removable......

So now what, pull valve cover off and attempt to clean pcv??
Found on one obscure web sight that to change it means new valve cover complete with pcv. Dumb *%& GM

I wanted to post my findings for other buick rendezvous people with 3.5 lt / 2007

Later,
Jaxon..

Wanted to post this forfuture

GM sells the PCV and rubber grommet. I would be willing to bet that it is replaceable but is stuck tight in your engine.
Get the parts in hand before trying to yank it. I don't know but i doubt they would sell replacements if it was not removable.

If it's that small maybe it's a fixed-orifice type. I'm not used to seeing that on a Chevy. If it's a fixed orifice, then so long as you can clean it enough that the orifice is not restricted you have the equivalent of a new one. Can you see inside it with a flashlight?

Jaxxon,

I know this is an old post, but I figured since I just got this done on my 2006 Rendezvous, I would post it for everyone here, and everyone in the future that may need this done.

You are a special case, because you live in Canada. Same here. For the 2006 and later model year, in Canada ONLY, there are a few differences between the Canadian and American model of this SUV. And as you noticed, the PCV valve is one of them. So, this is where is it..

***It is part of the rear valve cover. The entire valve cover has to be replaced to change the PCV valve. As of 2019 prices in Canada, that's about $175 for the part. And like I said, this ONLY applies to the Canadian model and ONLY 2006 and up.

P.S. Another weird difference is that the driver side door window is different for these years as well. And again, only on the Canadian model.. We had to get ours replaced and it took over a month to find one. The Canadian model for the 2006 and up has a slightly different shape than the American model, and than any other year in Canada. Stupid GM..
