Friend of mine uses T6 5w-40 in his 2006 6.0 PSD (deleted, studded and tuned) with 230k. Real healthy motor, it was a 6.0 that was cared for and then bulletproofed.
He has claimed that the truck runs great after the 1,000 miles in on a fresh oil change. This has occurred for the past couple OCs to him. Almost as if the oil shearing adds to better performance.
I can seem to recall some discussion that T6 has reduced the amount of zinc and phosphorus in their formula? Or perhaps I am simply wrong.
Looking for a recommendation for him. My friend is no stranger to running that truck like a truck, however, always waits for it to warm up and is never put away wet.
