Hey guys I need some help learning more about this car. Long story short, I'm selling it for my step-mom's friend who repo-ed it from her ex husband. We know nothing about it, and I know nothing about BMWs.

I'd like some information on helping sell the car, what packages it has, what options, and anything I should know with selling it. I'll probably be daily driving it in the mean time so I know more about it.

It's a 2004 BMW 325i with 83k miles, it's all I know.

One of the greatest cars on the road, no kidding, its that good. If you're trying to sell it, get it valued at kbb.com and or edmunds.com for a ballpark figure. Nice ride, best handling, a lot of enthusiasts salivate over this one.
If you take it to a BMW dealership, they can run the VIN number and get all info, including when or if maintenance was done at BMW dealerships.

Cooling system (water pump, expansion tank and hoses) and front suspension (front LCA bushings and ball joints). And oil leaks.

Thanks for that. The last 7 of the VIN is NJ42568

Looking at that page it seems to have good options, but I don't know what else it's missing as far as options.

Is it fairly well optioned?

Great little cars if the maintenance has been kept up. All the things that THE CRITIC listed need to be checked and or replaced.

Definitely has the Sport pkg judging by the steering wheel and the seats; could also have the premium pkg judging by the myrtle wood trim, moonroof, auto climate control and rain sensing wipers. Premium also came with 6 way power seats with 3 pos memory. Check if it has leather or leatherette seats, leather package obviously includes the former, also doesn't appear to have bi-xenon lights. Too bad its an automatic.

Wonder if you can register on the Canadian site and see if it brings it up?

ZSP "Sport Package" (wheels, steering wheel, and Sport Seats)
ZPP "Premium Package" (woodgrain trim, auto dimming mirror)
ZCW "Cold Weather Package" (common due to minimal cost but no visual cues really)

Leather seats are excellent, I very much like them, but BMW leather requires maintenance and I highly recommend Leatherique (shiny, hard leather is horrible)!
BMW's "leatherette", which is the imitation leather used in the E46, is quite a good material. Incredibly durable, pliable, and requires almost no attention... Don't write it off!

I agree; I recently stumbled upon a 335is which had to be custom ordered; CWP is the only option. No DCT, leather, Comfort Access, navigation, or H-K. The perfect E91 for me, but anathema to the pompous dweebs who buy cars to wear rather than drive.

Lol I know right? If it were that price I'd buy it and drive the wheels off of it.
