2001 Alero with slow leak

Friend has a 2001 Alero losing about a quart per 5-6k OCI. I told him run some MaxLife through it but he's got a huge stockpile of M1. He wants to use that plus an additive to condition the seals. Any suggestions for what he might use?

That is not drastic at all, for what its worth.

It is leaking, not burning. Don't know where the leak is at. He insists on using his existing M1 stash so no need to suggest other oils. He is only looking for an additive he can use with the M1 that will condition the seals and hopefully plug the leaks.

I wouldnt add anything to the Mobil-1.
