2 dz Eggs a Week

20mg daily of Crestor for 3 months brought me down from 229 to 137 and increased HDL 13 points. Diet has almost no impact on my cholesterol.
Same for me, Crestor works well for me. If I stop taking the pills and eat a low cholesterol diet it goes back up to where it was. Thus I take the pills every day. It is genetics for me.

I just had plantain pancakes fried in coconut oil with cauliflower, Portobello mushroom, and leek soup, with ghee. I now eat 2 dz eggs a week.
My cholesterol was 225 at this year's annual physical so I decided to go from 6 to 9 eggs a week to 4 to 5 eggs a day.
Eggs have lowered my cholesterol before, from 248 to
Doesn't surprise me. It's good that you accomplished all that without those cholesterol drugs which have their negative points. Eggs have been getting a bad reputation over the years.. They are actually very good. Hydrogenated oil is what kills people before their time.

Okay. No offense but I'll take the word of the NIH and other health institutions over that.

Interesting study, just remember our government is basically run and owned by pharma lobbies i.e. insulin prices increased massively right after the election.....for no apparent reason selling the same old generic molecule. Regardless, it wouldn't hurt to try it's just a few nuts. Getting the blood work before and after to see if it's actually working is the annoying part though.

i only use ghee when making eggs, i eat alot of eggs, good protein. Great for working out and getting lean muscle
They say eating eggs are the best food to add lean muscle mass.
I think it's something like 48% of the protein turns into muscle.

Research in the last few years has largely concluded that dietary cholesterol doesn't impact your blood cholesterol levels in any appreciable way.
I found out for myself that eating eggs affects my own cholesterol. It's the choline in egg yolk.
They say 95% of Americans are deficient in choline.
4 egg yolks a day will give you over 100% of the RDA for choline.

I'm willing to bet, the next time I'm tested, my cholesterol will be lower than it was.

Modern medicine doesn't fix the problem, just the symptoms.

Yeah medicine sure was better in the old days when the solutions to everything were blood letting, alcohol, and mercury or other toxic compound, and diseases were all caused by "bad air". ???

Statins, harmful placebo.
You really think so? There’s massive studies that show how effective they are. My own small sample size of elevated cholesterol for the last 8 years regardless of diet or exercise suddenly changing after 4 months of Crestor proves otherwise. Find a new slant.

Statin drugs tend to be overprescribed. A lot of patients with moderately high cholesterol should be encouraged to change their eating habits before using the drugs. Many take statin drugs and continue eating as they did before.

If you have high readings then these drugs are a excellent therapy. Always work with your doctor with both drug and diet to reduce high cholesterol readings.

So the daily bacon cheeseburger is out even if you take them?
I really don't know. Try it and test your blood before and after.

May I ask what your cholesterol was before you went on a statin drug?
The reason I ask is because it seems that many MDs use scare tactics to get people with cholesterol >200 on statins.
Mine was only 225 and I too may be over reacting to the current mainstream idea that anything >200 is considered high cholesterol.

20mg daily of Crestor for 3 months brought me down from 229 to 137 and increased HDL 13 points. The doctor reduced my dosage to 10mg and I’ll re-test . Diet has almost no impact on my cholesterol.
