132 Hr Briggs PL10241 PureOne filter(pic)

Changed oil finally in the 18.5 Hp Intek the other day 3+ years on the same fill with Amsoil ACD and this P1 filter,oil looked fine yet filter seems fine also no issues oil pressure great.Probably will do 200+hrs on this new currant fill of ACD and a yellow P1,these P1 are awesome filters.

love the crimed ends vs glue...

Low to no debris or alum shavings so engine looks broke in

Media is really packed in their

one thing of interest was when checking the by pass valve,,,using my Gates tension tool it starts to opened at 3 lbs and fully open at 5 i believe spec is 8-10.

anyway good filters IMO.

I did have it draining for a day but yea i know looks great still.

definitely going longer with the new fill,the ACD is doing an outstanding job,had the valve cover off for maintenance on the valves and it's clean as a whistle in their.

If the size of the surface to which pressure would be applied to actuate it isn't exactly one square inch, you can't measure pressure that way.

I know that but it's close gives some sort of idea.

looks good, how is the thickness on the pure one? I have never used a P1, I know the Motorcraft is thick, but the premium plus is very thin like a soda can.

Seems fine not thin no, it's like any other will hold up to any oil PSI that a car will produce.

Just take the valve seat diameter (not the Hole diameter) and plug it into this formula:
gauge reading in lbs /[ Pi* Dsquared/4] that will give you an accurate answer. Use a gauge reading to just unseat the valve 1/16".

I cant see why folks are so concerned about can thickness unless they are rock crawling - and then you want a skid plate. Thinner cans will give a more reliable crimp and seal to the baseplate - a major failure mode for filter can leakage.

I really would the price is right $6 compared to the rip off price a stock Briggs filter witch i see went up more around here $12-13, better efficiency rating and a little bigger with the P1.

with my filter cutter the black tool in the background works like a pipe cutter sort of,has a sharp roller blade the rides around the top of the filter and cuts through,clean quick and no mess,i got this through Jeggs for $30ish a wile back.

Here's a stock Briggs filter,small, restrictive looking, hardly any dirt holding capability and just not worth it. also the by pass seems very weak in these style filters i imagine lots of unfiltered oil gets through.

actually this is the original filter off my tractor when i bought it after that one it's seen the above P1 all the way.
