126,000 miles in a 2015 Malibu.

Titled new with 4,000 miles on it in 2015. 10 years of ownership. 126,000 miles. 1 set of brakes, 1 set of spark plugs, one exhaust manifold bolt and 1 water pump. The 2.0 ltg has been solid. A diet of M1 5W-30 every 4000 to 5000 miles and premium fuel. Transmission drain and fills every 3rd oil change. Normal traffic that runs mid 14 second 1/4 miles drama free. It has been a really good car. I see no reason it won't make 200,000 miles. It just does car things.

No engine swaps.
no warranty stuff, no recalls I think it gets a bad rap. I want to trade it in on a CT4 or CT5. The wife is not interested. So it stays.

Still cleans up well.

I personally believe that “some” cars that get a bad rap are from negligence on the owners part.

People beat on the Malibus - but the LTGs have been solid engines. Seems like she’s treated you guys well and hopefully you’ll continue to have many more trouble free miles! That’s a sharp color you got on the Malibu, don’t see them quite often.

Yeah, it's serving you well but, as you know, there is a point where things start needing more maintenance. Are you willing to do that? The first 125k isn't the next 125-250k if you know what I mean. We want to see a 15 year anniversary next... Congrats, on the milestone.

To be honest I really can't see it needing much. It isn't a maintenance pig like certain vehicles. Remember I fix 30 to 35 year old submarines for a living. This thing is easy

Yeah, I think GM has made some really decent runners that just tick on down the road with not too much. Didn't they stick the same turbo engine in one of those Cadillacs? Like the A ? I can't think of the small car from Cadillac.

My 2015 Camry has 160k miles. Two water pumps, but this one seems to be good. One heater blower fan. Spark plugs and brakes. No idea about 1/4 mile times. I'd bet it not 14 seconds. LOL I changed out tranny fluid twice. Oil changes every 10k miles.

Water pumps are funny some last forever some well not so much. My failure was the oring to the housing since there pump was out
it got a new one.

Thank you. I'm on an acre and a 1/4 as is the neighbor. 12 houses on my dead end. The other 10 are on 2.5 acres. House behind me just sold for 1.03 million. I paid 295,000 for mine in 2010. Just appraised for 714,000. Housing is ridiculous in Western Washington
