Any comments on 104+ Perfomance Boost , in the red bottle? It claims to clean injectors, intakes and just about anything that involves the fuel system without affecting 02 sensors or catlytic converters. I'm old school and have been useing ATF in my gas tank(6oz. to a 14ga.)for years on my cars with carbureters and the top end has always been like new.

You use ATF? I have never heard this before. Is there a specific kind of ATF? Type F, Dexron, etc. Does this work with fuel injection? I have been using Royal Purple's gas additive at every oil change. Which is better?
Havent used it on fuel injected cars, I use Chevrons Pro-Guard with Techron on my fuel injected cars. Any clean/new ATF works great, recently rebuilt my sbc with tripower in a street rod with 280k, top end was almost new as was the carbs.
There is not anything in ATF that will clean. All you are doing it running it like a 2 cycle engine, all benefits are imaginary.
There was a great article in Hot Rod Magazine about octane ratings and additives.
While I don't have it handy, I do remember that the octane boosters do what they say, for the most part - boost the octane rating by X points. IE, from 87.0 to 87.4 octane rating. Not to 91 octane rating.
All that they really do is promote better burning of the gasoline. The better way of getting better octane is to buy high-test.
