Hi all,

The car's manual has actually recommended 0w20 engine oil. Was wondering if any one has ever used Amsoil 0w20 oil in their 1.6 impreza. If so, any feedbacks? Thanks

My guess is that it would do fine. Currently the smallest Subaru engine offered in N. America is a 2.5L.

The 1.6L engine may be similar to the old Loyale and Impreza 1.8L engine when it was first introduced in the United States. You may want to ask on the Impreza forums as most on here are not familiar with the 1.6L Subaru engine.

I would imagine Amsoil to be a good choice in any application!

I hope so. 'Cos the dealer here is using shell helix ultra 5w40 which I find it too thick. In fact, forums that I been too are using 5w40 for their 1.6 models

was running the asm 0W20 in my v6 ford fusion. no problems.

(although I traded it in with 4K on the oil for my corolla so I was kinda po'd about that)
