No it's not! It's weakened Synpower. Call Ashland and ask them yourself. What's the same is only the base oil.

Use the manual-recommended viscosity for your vehicle. I suppose if you wanted an 0W oil, the manufacturer would probably allow 0w30 instead.

Because it performs so well.
 
5w30 is a thin oil. Can be safely and effectively used anywhere during the winter, in the continental USA, where 5w30 exists on engine oil-fill caps.
Use 0W-20 where recommended.

hold on, like my motor oil I like women gooey with a tad of meat on the bone.
