07 Z71 pan drop

Anyone know any secrets to getting the pan off without taking the exhaust loose from the engine.The crossover pipe is blocking the pan.Also what interval is everyone running with the DexVI in the 4L60E.

I had a 2000 Sierra and the pan had a slight notch to allow removal. It was very tight but not impossible
