Impressive report but I would be curious what the TBN is. I run Amsoil (0W30) about 21 - 23K in a Ford 4.0L SOHC V6 and the TBN is in the mid 2.0 range at that mileage. Get about the same results from 0W20 at 15K in a Chrysler 3.7L SOHC V6. Silicon reading is impressive so your air filtration is really doing the job.

Yeah, I'm really pleased. I just cant figure out why it sheared so much. Is that normal for a MTF (of any brand)?

If I had run it 120,000 miles like Honda says I can for normal service, and it kept shearing at this rate, it would have had a visc of 4 or 5!

Shearing is normal.
With wear that low(driving style?), its easily a 50k fluid for you.

Very low wear.

With it shearing as much as it did, you are in Royal Purple Syncromax territory.

I'm gonna run mine at least 40,000 miles ... about another year and a half to two years. Maybe I'll do a UOA on mine as well.

It'll be interesting to see how 10,000 miles in an S2000 compares with 40,000 miles in a Civic.

Thinking about this s'more, it occurred to me that this stuff sheared down to the beginning viscosity of OEM Honda MTF (II). This makes Amsoil MTF the better all-around choice, I think .... especially if you want a long drain interval fluid.
