Had some Lube Control in the oil, use FP 3000 fairly regularly, 95% highway cruising at 72-78 mph. Average mpg just over 25. Manufacturer recommends 5000 mile OCI's. Have Pennzoil Platinum in there now...should be good for 10,000 mile OCI's. Nice engines, these 4.6's!

The Mobil 5000/7500 I think are underrated. They hold up well from what I've seen.

That Mobil 7500 could probably have gone 10,000 easy since I was using Lube Control, too. However, I didn't get a TBN. I did, however, get the 7500 for FREE after rebate from OReilly's!

Impressive! Sure it's highway cruising, but that's a good amount of miles for a V-8 and such a stellar UOA. LC is no doubt helping keeping insolubles low.

10K? No problem!

It's an 04 Gramp Marquis (spelling intended). I'm sold on these big cruisers for, well, cruising. If I keep it down to 70 mph, I can get 26-28 mpg! Pretty impressive to me for a dinosauer. Even at 80 mph, I get 24-25 mpg.
