2003 Ford F-150 5.4L Lariat 4R70W 2WD need to identify what rear is on this vehicle. The axle code on the driver's door jamb is H9 which tells me this is a limited slip with 3.55 gear ratio. However, is it a 8.8, 9.75, other? The tag on the pumpkin bolt simply provides information about the gear oil to use, i.e. XY -75W90 which has been superceded to 75W140.

Thank you.

Can you take a picture of the housing from the back?
Can identify them via cover.

I can't imagine the 5.4 having the 8.8 behind it, a friend of mine had one with the 4.2 V6 and it had the 9.75'' differential.

I believe it is the 9.75 but I've been wrong many times (today included)! ;)
The tag number should be V919B which translates to a 9.75" limited slip with a 3.55 ratio. The other tag should read something like V919B on the top line and 3L55 on the bottom line indicating a locking 3.55 ratio.

IIRC, 5.4 gets a 9.75.

Just look under the truck at the axle. an 8.8 diff cover looks almost square, a 9.75 is more of a trapazoid.
Left one is an 8.8, right is 9.75.
