In my Fords I like to use Motorcraft syn blend and Motorcraft filters. But today I changed the oil on my 04 F-350 5.4 and I used Castrol Edge. The engine seems like it's running smother with Castrol so I might keep using it.

don't use Auto-Trac II in the transfer case use Dexron VI for your silverado

I would use the Motorcraft thats what I use on my 5.4 F350.

I got 08 & 09 Silverados with 5.3's and I use Pennzoil Platinum 5w30. But right now my 08 is running Quaker State synthetic 5w30.

a lot of 99-06 style Chevy and GMCs has that problem Advance Auto Parts carries the bezel I can't remember the price off the top of my head but the price isn't that much

if cost is no object go to a Chevy dealer and pick up the GM stuff
