    Flow rate comparison.

Ignore the negative nancies. Try this calculator; Widman was a member for many years but haven't seen him in...seemingly forever. Should give a good indication in answer to your question. https://www.widman.biz/English/Calculators/Calculators.html

    Shortness of breath @7000 ft.

Chris -- your first description sounded totally normal; but now with more info about it, it does sound like there was either CO2 in the house or paint offgassing, or both. Glad you got out of there without any injuries; and Yes, totally agree with notifying the owners.

    Shortness of breath @7000 ft.

Sounds normal for a first day at higher altitude. Our home is at 8500', we tell visitors "breathe more, move slower" The night sleep feeling of strangling is common.

    Wrangler Tire Question

265/70R17 is what we have on our '20. They fit without any rub anywhere, and look good. A super compromise between the factory 245 donuts and the 285s (which I thought put a lot of stress on components) Speedo is, *maybe* 1 mph off, not enough to worry about. Also, 265/70s come with some of...

    AMSOIL Signature Series 0w16 5k mi; Rav4

Looks good; I'd want to try a 5w30 and compare tesults.

    How old is your spare?

All spares in our fleet are same age as the other 4 on the vehicle. I rotate 5, always. With matching wheels - purchased if necessary to replace steelies. Don't want either: 1) a substandard tire when I really need it, Or 2) to waste good money on a tire then never use it.

Should I trust Jeep engineers on 0W-20?

You answered your own question: The Pentastar was designed for 5w30. The engineers didn't necessarily write the current owner's manual, it was written with CAFE in mind.

Has anyone ever used 5W40 Euro in 4Runner.

4.0 can use up to a 50 grade overseas. So a 40 would be great. Will be going 0w40 in my '13 FJ next change myself; been on 5w30 until now.

    Northern Montana oil question

I lived in Glasgow for 4-1/2 years. Jan/Feb temps get down to the -20s F regularly at night and sometimes colder. So if you will ALWAYS have it plugged in you can use the 15w. But - and it's a big one - IF you get caught out parked and not plugged in, you will likely be stranded if it gets too...

    I lost my father today

Sorry to hear Adam. My father passed beyond a few years ago. Hang in there, remember the good things and look forward.

Why Do Enthusiasts Hate Walmart Products?

I may have missed it, but what vehicle and what interval to go to 400k?

7.3 Ford powered motor home oil Qs

I'd go 15w40, 5w40 if driven in temps under 10°F. It's port injected and NA, so no LSPI worries; a solid diesel oil will work well.

'21 Jeep Wrangler Sport Aux Battery

Please see my other posts about this situation; taking that battery out of the loop is probably your best option… Several videos on YouTube how to do it.

    Looking for Cold Weather Recommendations

When I lived up in Glasgow, started with 5w30 but ended up using Amsoil 0w-30. https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-signature-series-0w-30-100-synthetic-motor-oil-azo/ Good for the entire 6+ months of winter, and really helped - a lot - with cold starts. Shipped to my door, which was nice...

~3 Years From OEM Jeep JL Battery

Plenty of info on the aux battery problems online and a few threads on here. Long story short - seems like 3 years is typical with aux battery included, much longer without. We had electrical issues in our 2020 Wrangler, aux battery taken out of the picture and zero issues since. Hate s/s and...

    Best Movie Final Scenes

That is a good one. Ranks right up there with the end of "The Usual Suspects". When I first saw the movie, it was early in his career, and I didn't know who Kevin Spacey was.

75W Transfercase Fluid with Torsen Differential (Toyota/Lexus)

Agree with edyvw. Plus, there was a memo floating around her a few years ago - directly from Toyota - that said the 75w was for fuel economy and that 75w90 is ok to use.

Wrangler JL or JLU battery advice

Our '20 was the same, then left us stranded. Did the research, disconnected the small battery and replaced the main one. No issues since for the last 8-9 months. We usually turn off the stop/start nonsense. Check out Youtube for videos on this, Jeep uses different electrical setups so...

0w-30/5w-30 in a 2024 crosstrek and subaru timing chains

Over 10 years ago someone did a study with several used oil analysis over time, and a teardown IIRC. Or maybe it was a link to another site, I'm not sure. But the results did show a correlation between less wear using a 10wXX vs a 0wXX. (Both oils had the same high temp viscosity)
