One of my customers rides a late model Yamaha 650. He said it vibrated so bad at 70 that he hated riding it. He switched from Yamalube to 10W40 Amsoil MCF and he said it smoothed out the vibration so much he enjoys riding it much more.

PolyAlphaOlefin is a pure chemical molecule, requiring less additives. Group III oils are made of hundreds, maybe thousands of different petroleum molecules, requiring more additives. The pure chemicals can be made to exacting standards for stability and lubrication.

The top one is available thru Amsoil as a Donaldson filter. The next 3 are available as an Amsoil EaO filter. The Donaldson are not better than the EaO.

Even the Amsoil EaO filter is 50% efficient at 7 microns, smack dab in the middle of the wear metals analyzed.

I think it takes a pro to correctly interpret UOA's. Wear metals could settle in engine internals and never be picked up in an oil sample. They could be trapped in a very efficient filtration system. Amsoil 75W90 Severe Gear Lube and change it at double the BMW recommended interval. I used it this way for my 137,000 mile 2000 K1200LT. I sell it to many BMW shops and use it myself in my 2006 K1200LT.

Sorry to say I have no experience with ATO. I sell alot of Interceptor and Dominator to motorcycle shops and racers and some Saber 100:1 Professional to some landscapers and scooter stores. All work very well, some with glowing testamonials.
