    PTFE vs MoS2

Been my experience that PTFE greases are clear or light colored making them much cleaner, and commonly used in food contact applications. Most moly fortified greases I've encountered are dark colored and can make a mess. Not sure if this has any bearing on the actual properties of PTFE or Moly...

    Best gun oil?

Its been my experience that as long as you use some type of lube, whatever it is, you'll be all set. The difference between the worst and the best gun lubes on the market with regards to weapon wear is negligible. If there is any factor of a lube that makes a difference, it would be viscosity...

    CorrosionX

So it smells? I was hoping it didn't smell...I can't stand gun cleaning products that smell. Right now my current regime of M-Pro7 products (same as Hoppes Elite) will have to stick around. I usually mix a little white lithium with the gun oil so it doesn't sling off. Relatively non-toxic and...

Anyone think XM radio sounds terrible??

XM is great for what it is. The nicer the audio system you have, the more apt you are to notice the poor quality. When my focus had a stock stereo, XM sounded fine to my ears. After I put in a completely custom system using kick-panels with a 3 way component setup, XM sounded really bad. After...

    SOCOM II or AR15

What are you using it for? Home defense, plinking, hunting, etc? Either weapon can be used for any of those and more, but as you alluded to, the SOCOM has considerably more punch at the expense of more expensive ammunition and more recoil. I'd personally get the AR. More upgrade options, and...

What to look for when buying used propane tank?

From the picture it looks fine. Only thing I can add is that if you live in a rural area, meth heads are likely to use propane tanks to transport anhydrous ammonia (for their meth production), and anhydrous ammonia will destroy the valves on your standard propane tank in short order. Good news...

    Glock 19 Gen 4

To add a little more, the black coating on the barrel is just cosmetic. The Steel itself is tenifer treated, and will not rust and is extremely resistant to meaningful wear. So in the end, don't worry about the black finish rubbing off...it will happen eventually to any barrel.

    Glock 19 Gen 4

Picture? From the sounds of it, its normal. Though wear at the top of the barrel with only 400 rounds seems a bit premature. My Gen 4 17 has a bit of wear at the bottom of the barrel, but none at the top...I have about 2k rounds through mine. Do you put a drop of oil on the barrel after cleanings?

    Which 9mm Defensive Round?

As many previous posters have alluded to, you can't go wrong with law enforcement endorsed ammunition. Just about every single large agency has extensively tested their ammunition, so you'll be well served by any of the majors like Speer Gold Dot, Federal HST, or Winchester Ranger T. I...

New build Part 2 case + psu + heatsink.

Don't believe the db numbers posted on any fan, for all you know they measure the noise from 10ft away....which is about the only way you can get a 120mm fan to blow 70cfm @ 20db. If you are concerned with noise, stick with fans that are 1k rpm or lower in the 120mm size. Yate Loon low speed...
