2025 so far EV sales up 28%

What carbon credits were available were available to all who qualified. Not just EV makers. Primarily what Tesla has benefited from is Clean Air Credits in CARB states. Selling these credits have allowed traditional ICE manufacturers to continue doing business in CARB states.

2025 so far EV sales up 28%

What makes you think EV sales rely on "gov subsidies"? Before Biden Tesla was selling all the vehicles they could make, without Federal tax credits, competing against other EV makers who were still in their original allocation of 200,000 tax credits.

Not right wingers but rednecks. There is a difference. Right wingers didn't firebomb Bud Light breweries. Or vandalize Superchargers.

    Neighborhood gas Ethanol question

So you didn't know Top Tier has an 8% ethanol mandate of their own? Top Tier isn't really top tier.

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

How did "Tesla realize they would have to do it to get government money?" How did Tesla not know this for over a decade? Tesla built the greatest DCFS network in the world out of their own pocket. A 120kW DCFS from 2012 that has a 99.7% uptime is a "shoddy product". Right. You wouldn't...

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

I didn't for over 10 years. When Tesla provides free Supercharging with a car, for a brief period or for duration of ownership, or life of the vehicle, no credit card is used. Yes, Tesla does. To help pay for building the Supercharger network, a cost bundled in the price of a new Tesla.

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

You are the one turning mole hills into mountains by claiming an open invitation to partake as an equal was a "push". I guess when Walmart unlocks their doors each morning I am being "pushed" inside.

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

Tesla has never "made a push" to get other manufacturers to adopt NACS. Tesla has said from the start that all manufacturers are welcome to join the Supercharger network on equal terms. That means "you have to help pay for it." Our lazy State Capitalist (that is a "capitalist" who does whatever...

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

One has to have more than a NACS connector to charge at a Supercharger. The communication between charger and vehicle is different. And the vehicle has to ID to Tesla over the communication link to establish payment. This is performed externally with a credit card on CCS stations.

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

EV range anxiety only exists in the minds of imaginative ICE drivers. Every CCS charging station, every non-Tesla Supercharger is government subsidized. CCS has failed as bad as the Snow White reboot. And the beauty of it is how at government subsidized CCS chargers one pays about 4x the...

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

We have one: CCS: Common Charging Standard. Is the ANSI standard created by All The Automakers, with the exception of Tesla. Then they expected farmers whose only "crop" is government handouts to build and run the CCS fast charging systems. That worked exactly as well as any reasonable person...

Tesla had a robotic battery swap station that could swap a Model S battery in 90 seconds. YouTube videos. All this is moot. Is all in support of maintaining The Gas Station Model. You people can't give up your gas stations. I'd rather spend 15 seconds connecting tonight at home and 15 seconds...

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

It's just Those Darn Capitalists are not as smart as PandaBear. CARB has tried to bankroll battery swap for at least 20 years. Lots of extra Clean Air Credits for designs which have battery swap provisions. Catch-22 is that eventually one has to put battery swap into production. Tesla did...

Actually, it does not. And most certainly would liquidate any any investment bankrolling EV battery rentals.

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

I have never seen one. Have heard there are some in China where life is cheap. Right, 15 (really, not 16?) Supercharger bays can service 16 (or 15?) vehicles at once. Typically 16 Supercharging bays are provisioned with 3000kV-A (apparently you didn't know that). You would have vehicles wait...

    Honda battery powered mowers.

You don't know that a battery is an array of cells. The 1.5V AA thing you buy is a cell, not a battery. The 9V thing is a battery composed of cells. An 80V Greenworks battery has 20 cells. I am still using an EGo 56V battery from 2016.

Are you lining up to bet your retirement on this? You seem to deeply believe in it. Has failed every time it has been tried. No investor would allow the battery to be rented at a rate less than it's wear and tear, and risk of loss. When tallied up the only "investor" willing to bet on caring...

new battery can give 300 mi range in just 5 min

You are right, we should take electric stoves and ovens away, and clothes dryers, in favor of centralized restaurants and laundry mats. We can't have these arbitrary 10kW loads appearing willy-nilly on The Precious Delicate Grid. Rather, we need megawatt loads switching on and off! No, (100)...
