Air Canada is Bringing 33+ Year Old Boeing 767s Out of Retirement That Were Grounded in 2020

I would guess they would prefer 777s or 787s since that what most of the widebody fleet is but they can't get any for a reasonable price. They have converted some of their 767s for cargo in the past.

    Subaru or Mazda?

Subaru is full time. Unsure if Mazda is, but I don't think so

    We finally got some... 0W-8.

Engines back in the day made like... 50 hp/L. It's easy to make something last when it makes no power. The biggest issue with blown engines today is LSPI, not oil related issues.

Employees can't have coffee but the company jet probably has a $5k cappuccino maker lol

Intel brings back workers’ free coffee, seeking to stem morale decline

What kind of office job doesn't provide coffee? Genuinely didn't know that was a thing.

    We finally got some... 0W-8.

The part nobody seems to think about is that this oil is spec'd only for hybrids which rarely actually get to full operating temperature. Maybe if they are used as cabs or something.

Proper pressure to seat the bead?

I worked in the tire industry for a long time. Many lower profile tires would need 80+ psi to seat properly unless you wanted to fiddle with it all day long. Anything over 50-60 psi we would put in a cage.

    Subaru or Mazda?

The drivetrain in Foresters has been largley unchanged for about a decade. They added DI in 2019, but other than that they are essentially the same for quite a while. 2025 is a new shell and interior on top of the old vehicle. We have a 2022 with about 35k on it and happy with the vehicle.

New tires with older date code

Is that surface temp? In my car they're usually 12-15°C over ambient but that is also the internal temp at the TPMS sensor. Even on spirited drives I don't think I've seen much more than 20° over.

Every time I go to the US it surprises me how many people answer "thanks" with "uhuh."

    BMW Oil Temperature Question

Most likely it’s built into the oil level sensor, which I imagine all Minis have except maybe the very early (new era) ones.

If he got banned I am not trying to stir the pot here, I just notice he hasn't posted in a couple months.
