    $40 for a standard UOA ?

Amsoils prepaid shipping kits went up in price too. Now it’s $32.75 with preferred pricing. Non postage kits are $22.15.

    Choosing Extended Drain Filter

I would sample the oil to make sure I’m good along the way. This oil change I went up to 0w-40 Amsoil Signature. It’s a very robust Dexos R compliant oil. On the thick side. My goal is just to have the oil at the very high end of 20 weight regardless of any OCI I choose and I think it will do...

    Choosing Extended Drain Filter

Actually my trucks schedule states to check oil life every 7.5k however the true interval is Oil life monitor or never exceed 1 year if oil life does not deplete first. I’m not worried about OEM warranty. I got enough bulk 0w-20 oil receipts to cover a claim. I’ll just reset oil life monitor...

    Choosing Extended Drain Filter

I never said 30k mile intervals. 12.5-15k/ 6 month is the idea. I’m currently running Amsoil Signature 0w-40. Meets Dexos R spec.

    Choosing Extended Drain Filter

My annual mileage might increase 25-30k a year in the very near future. I’m interested in the Premium Guard family of filters from various parts store brands. Do these filters have the capabilities of going past 10k miles listed by the MFG? If so I’d be looking at 12.5-15k/ 6 months intervals...

My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

Since M+H also owns Wix and Purolator. Does it mean Wix is also a No-Go? I started getting into Wix 4 years ago and always thought of the non-XP as reliable filters. Have all the Wix filters gone to Purolator internals?

    Purolator LX10575 Virgin C&P

The price is not bad for what it is. $8-10 would probably sell a lot more than $13 FE filter. However I'm too disappointed in all the hype. I'm taking a wild guess that its 30 microns ish @ 99% like its M1 twin.

My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

Well I received an email response and they do not provide spec sheets anymore. I called their CS and received the same answer. However the employee did state the closest thing they can provide is in general plain paper media filters provide 21 microns @ 99% and synthetic blend media are around...

My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

Well here's a look at a local WM in the twin cities this evening. Hard to tell if the Endurance shelves are the same or reduced. On a side note found some random jugs of PUP above the marine oils. I thought PUP was online only. Might of been old stock or a return. PUP hasn't been on the shelves...

Specific one I asked for in my email!

My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

Just checked Purolator and WM online doesn't look like a subaru 14615 model is available yet in the Walmart exclusive LX line. Either its a gradual release or maybe Walmart is optimizing shelf space. I did see a LX10575 listed for 5.3/ 6.2 GM engines. Interesting how Purolator is keeping the...

My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

I sent an email to CS requesting a spec sheet for efficiency data . Lets see how it looks. I'm guessing it will be similar to the ONE line. Edit: I asked for Purolator 20K Oil Filter LX10575 sheet.

    Double over fill!

If your engine didn't leak oil I would even stress it. This just happens to be your day of luck. Take the $2,600 and ask for an extended engine warranty. The way I looked at it they just did you a favor. Although it shouldn't happen mistakes do happen.

In Light Driving Conditions Would You Notice Difference in 5w-20 vs 0w-30 - Subaru BRZ

You could since the oils have pretty similar composition but I wouldn’t bother. Amsoils 20 weight oils are pretty stout and on the thick side. I’d just use it for a couple oil changes and just take it easy with no track use.

In Light Driving Conditions Would You Notice Difference in 5w-20 vs 0w-30 - Subaru BRZ

I believe Subaru allows for 5w-30 conventional as an alternate in the manual in the case 0w-20 is not available. If you’re interested in Amsoil 5w-30 Signature is their flagship. Signature 0w-40, 10w30 and 5w-30 would be excellent in your application. Amsoil XL is also a good option if your...

Valvoline R&P Oil Burner Test Results

I think R&P really does clean overtime and not a gimmick. However I was really disappointed in that 500k mile tear down synthetic EP vs Conventional video Valvoline did on YouTube. The synthetic engine wasn’t really clean at all. Mobil 1 would have been clean as a whistle. That’s why I ended up...

Fram Ultra / Endurance Users - Move On to What ?

Good ole Wix! Well I used to only use amsoil/ wix filters then I experimented with the Fram Endurance since they are the same maker. However I’ll have to do some more research since I’m back to using amsoil products again. No idea if Amsoil or Royal purple filters are cream of the crop and maybe...

    Oil Recommendation Subaru FB20D / 2021 Crosstrek and Honda J35Z8 (2015 Odyssey)

I’ve been running M1 AFE on my 21 Outback 2.5L and it burns zero oil and is clean as a whistle inside. 3 oil changes so far.

Best oil and oil additive for a Silverado 5.3 lifter tick?

Try some Amsoil Signature 0w-40. My 5.3 L84 is hard to hear it running now.
