    license plate surveillance ...

There are about 750,000 police officers in the U.S., which interestingly is about the same as the number of doctors. To make the blanket statement that there are more bad police than good ones is laughable. I'm sure you can back this up somehow, right?

Castrol Stntec 0W-30 now made in Belgium

Hi, I did a quick search but found nothing. I went to Pep Boys on Friday to buy some Castrol Syntec 0W-30, German Castrol, and noticed that the printing on the bottle had changed from red to caramel. I looked on the back of the bottle and read that the oil is now made in Belgium. I spoke to the...

Anyone use Amsoil AME 15w-40 heavy duty diesel?

I have a 2006 Triumph Speed Triple that calls for semi or full syn 10w-40 or 15w-50 oil that meets API SH and JASO MA. After reading lots of UOA's and motorcycle specific vs non-motorcycle specific oil threads I have used Shell Rotella T 15w-40 and currently use Chevron Del0 15w-40. I am...

    Motorcycle Chains!

I use MX-1000 on my 06 Triumph Speed Triple (thanks, Jay). The chain runs quiet, has needed minimal adjustment, and there is almost no "sling" on the rear wheel. Good stuff, two thumbs up.

Recommend trans fluid for 01 VW Passat

I did a brief search but came up empty. My wife has a 2001 VW Passat 1.8 turbo 5mt. It's time to change the transmission fluid. My wife drives her Passat like I drive my TL...runs it up through the gears, not afraid of redline, likes to ue the turbo (I know, my TL is NA). Here in the Washington...

    Filter recommendations for Honda cars

Over on Acura-TL.com Road Rage has given the S2000 filter, 15400-PCX-004, high marks and the ok for use in the TL. If it fits any of your Honda/Acura's, use it. I use it on my 04 TL. No problems so far.

    01 passat trans fluid

My girl has a 2001 VW Passat 1.8 turbo 5mt. She lives in a suburb of Washington DC with cold snowy winters and hot humid summers. She drives about 10,000 miles a year, mostly highway and suburban, not city, streets. She is not afraid to use the turbo to squirt in and out of traffic. She will...

    Full Flow oil filters....

But the better the filtering the less flow...unfiltered engine oil flowing readily is better than filtered oil not flowing enough.

04 TL vs 00-03 TL filters

The o4 TL specs a 15400PLMA02 filter, 14-18 by-pass psi, which is a glorified Fram filter right down to the cardboard end caps. All prior year TL's spec 15400PCX004 filters, 12-15 by-pass psi and slightly larger in size, which is a really good filter...in fact it is the new spec fiter for the...

    Denso first time fit stats

I am going to use a Denso First Time Fit oil filter in my 04 Acura TL. I spoke to a Denso tech who couldn't tell me anything about it. Does anyone know if it has metal or cardboard end caps, if it has a coil or leaf spring, any flow/filtration rates or a site where I can get them? [ October...

    04 Acura TL filter

I just looked at the Denso first time fit filters. Are they made specifically for Honda/Acura's? I was trying to pick a filter from oilfilterstudy.com because I could see the stats and make comparisons. Do you know anything about Denso and how they measure up? Thanks.
