You can also do 5k comfortably on the ST SYN Blend as well with zero worries. Using FS at 5k is waste.

Meh. I use Pro Selects almost exclusively now. I'm not worried about efficiencies. I cut a few open after an OCI. They looked fine. I use them from 5k to 10k miles.

Perform? What do you expect this oil to do -make your engine sing? It's motor oil. It will do what any other motor oil will do.

I believe I read that the reason why GM reduced the OCI (3.6 I think) was because of higher rates if oil consumption. Lower volumes of oil lead to higher oil temps, which lead to higher chain/gear temps which caused chain "stretching" which caused CEL in regards to timing issues. So, typical...
