I'm about a year in on a set for my MKV GTI.
They can be driven pretty hard and behave well...
The wet traction is creepy good, you really have to push it make them break loose.
Best A/S tire I ever owned. I have no reason to buy anything else until something better comes around.

I got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport a/s 4+ for the GTI a few weeks ago, no snow experience yet obviously but in cold, dry and wet they do handle very well.
They replaced a set of Nokian Entyre 2.0's that were a good tire, biggest gripe was wet handling that really decreased rapidly as the tire...

NGK or Bosch has never given me any trouble at all. From chainsaws to chippers to 300hp+ tuned 4cyl's.
I see no reason to use anything else, personally.
