After a a promising last UOA (10.000km), I decided to leave oil and filter in place and to extend the OCI.

Factory recommendation on early SAAB-Scania B202L engines (900 turbo 16) is 7500km. I usually do 10.000km.
This time, it was nearly double of that. UOA (Shell Helix Ultra 0w-30 AV-L) will follow.

After drying up a bit, filter did not seem to be heavly loaded:

However, if you look closely, you can see some carbon:

Some data is available. Mann oil filters are well made but not that efficient. Usually 99% at 38 microns or 99% above 50 microns. Also stated as 50% efficient at 14 microns or 20 microns.

712/20, 712/4, 712/52 data available here:

It looks like probably a synthetic media without a screen or mesh backing. Synthetic media is softer and doesn't hold it's shape as well without a backing but in the case of this filter it doesn't seem to matter. Wavy pleats are not an issue when it doesn't tear.
I've seen some old Purolator synthetic filters that look about like that media and they were always winners, no tearing etc. Nice!
