Isn't it sad they can't predict the weather?

I think that if you look at hurricane forecasts, you can see just how variable the weather is. The forecast is only really accurate in the last 1-3 days, and even then it will occasionally change only hours before the storm starts to impact our area. Even after decades of tracking hundreds, maybe thousands, of hurricanes. They still have 20 different models that give you 20, slightly different paths.

I work outside as well, and never pay close attention to weather forecasts more than a few days old. It's nice to look at a week ahead and alter my plans accordingly, but I don't overly worry about Friday afternoon on a Monday morning.

but m.o.m. trolling -- with his history of intelligent thread topics? naaaaaahhh.
weather prediction is a very inexact science. period.

m.o.m. -- the group loves your thread topics. keep 'em coming.
