I own a 2001 Land Rover Discovery II with a 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine.
While checking on the gearbox manufacture site ZF TE-ML 11 ZF model 4HP22 (page 3) they claim I must use a 11A/B oil from the list.
One of the options is the ZF-Lifguard5 ZF-Lifeguardfluid 5

The ZF LifeGuard 5 is:
Automatic gearbox 4HP22 ZF-Lifeguardfluid 5
Charakteristics TE-ML 11B
Density at 15 °C kg/m³ 0.85
Viskosity at 40 °C mm²/s 38
Viskosity at 100 °C mm²/s NONE
Viskosity index NONE
Brookfield-Viskosity at -40 °C mPa.s NONE
Pourpoint °C -51
Flash Point(COC) °C 220

While the Shell Spirax S6 ATF ZM is:
Charakteristics TE-ML 04D 14E
Density at 15 °C kg/m³ 0.843
Viskosity at 40 °C mm²/s 61.8
Viskosity at 100 °C mm²/s 10.2
Viskosity index 153
Brookfield-Viskosity at -40 °C mPa.s NONE
Pourpoint °C -53
Flash Point(COC) °C 240

the Shell Spirax S6 ATF ZM is an equivalent to ZF's ZF Ecofluid A Plus Ecofluid A Plus

Here are ZF 11B 14E 11b and 14E characteristics

Can i use a TE-ML 14E oil ? like Shell Spirax S6 ATF ZM ?

I think you're looking in the wrong place. The 4HP22 shows it takes a Dexron II/III fluid. The ZF Lifeguard fluid is further down, for the 4HP20, and the 5HP19 series trans (I've seen these in plenty of VWs, and Porsches.) My experience is that the two fluids are not considered compatible. Unless I'm mistaken, you should use a Dexron III fluid. Hope that helps.

Heh heh, The 528es have 4hp22 transmissions. They are very simple and durable. Dunno what all the new fangled specs are but, they are quite happy with any ATF that is backward compatible to Dextron 3
