Good for her!
[But, she's hardly a rookie!]

This shows that it doesn't take a big strong man to drive a car well. At least for left turns.

In Nationwide there is Johanna Long, Jennifer Jo Cobb sometimes, and one of the Cope twins when they get funding.

Anyone want to take a bet how fast Tony Stewart swoops in for the kill? It's pretty obvious he likes her.

Nope not these days, NASCAR has had power steering on their vehicles for over 25 years...

Above said, back in the mid '70s when Janet Guthrie was driving the Kelly Girl entry in cup, NASCAR was yet to use power steering... Also they had no cool suit, drivers often sweated out 6/8Lbs on a 95* day at the short tracks, Darlington, etc... Now days only a small amount of effort/stress is required compared to driving the road wagons of the 70s and earlier...
