ChevyTech, a "K" at the beginning of a word is not silent in German. The "k" phoneme is a velar plosive and a voiceless consonant. It sounds like the "c" in English "cold". The "K" is to be pronounced, followed by the "n." The "i" is to be pronounced like "ee" (short sound) and not like "eye." Can you say K-nipecks?

We were always able to get a good supply of German tools here in New Zealand, although they are less common now with all the Brand Name Chinese stuff.I have Hazet and Stahlwille socket sets and spanners in metric,SAE and Whitworth. Also some Heyco,Gedore,Walter,Knipex,Saltus and other brands I can't remember. As good as any high quality tool - Stahlwille are a bit thin and sharp to put much weight on,but they get in tighter places.I still have a Hazet 4 draw concertina tool box.

All my Facom stuff says Made in France.
