Yup...I'm a BITOG oil-head.

I got a reminder that my '22 Mazda is due for its 6 month OCI on the 19th. Thing is I have only driven about 700 mi in those 6 months. I checked the oil level yesterday and as you can imagine the oil is pristine. I think to myself, maybe I should extended to one year instead of 6 months but BITOG in me can stop thinking about moisture, corrosion, fuel dilution. Then I go back...it's a waste of perfectly good oil..and so on and so on. I'm sick and need help.

If your '700 miles' is mostly very short trips I wouldn't go a year. OTOH if you take your Mazda out for long drives weekly (20 miles or more) I'd do a year with no concerns.
