Yukon XL

2wd makes it much easier to change those fluid filled motor mounts…. i’ve had to do 3 or 4 4x4 trucks with the atomic poly mounts and i curse it every time.

The left mount is bad, Replacing both with OE mounts, Engine ready to stab...

what is your reasoning for going back with OEM? the atomic mounts have been excellent for us. the hydraulic mounts don’t last. i’ve changed many OEM hydraulic mounts. nice Royal Purple oil filter!

I don't run poly engine mounts if It's avoidable....If I get 50K out of the left mount, I'm good!

That's a Delco PF48, I don't stock PF63's as of yet, It will get the right filter before fireup.

we get about 25k out of them. that’s why i went to the atomic mounts. changing them is a mess. exhausted manifolds have to come off

I've known a few people with the AFM lifter failure. Those that have deleted and tuned it out have not had reoccurring issues that I know. The AFM setup is unfortunate because of how solid the old engines have been. The only GM V8s I've had were pre AFM so I don't have direct experience with it.

I've put roughly 8,000 miles on it so far, Running M1 10w30/Delco PF63 filter.
Dropped the pan on the 10L80 about 3,000 miles ago & swapped the filter, Filled with some fresh Dexron ULV.
Swapped the rear diff oil at the same time with some Reline 75W140.

The right front MagnaRide strut is leaking a little bit...However the ride seems fine. Haven't decided if I'm going to get rid of the Magnaride & replace with some Bilstein 4600's or bite the bullet & buy new OE. Can't believe how well this thing rides with 22" rims.

I have a Aluminum PPE 10L80 pan & a Next Gen Drivetrain valve body kit (With shift valves) on the way.....This unit shifts very well as it is, But these valve bodies are a known issue & I'm going to get in front of it.

bilsteins are always a wise choice! my favorite shock for stock to crazy lifted vehicles.

I've had Bilsteins on every GM truck I've owned in the last 20 years (All I drive except for my Camaro which also has Bilsteins)

I just don't want to alter the ride on this one, My 2000 Silverado shop truck rides like a chuck wagon on rough roads in comparison.....While Bisteins were a definite improvement over the POS Monroe's that were on it when I bought it.

My boss has one of these and the 22s all arrived out of round. His favorite mechanic said the PO must have been hitting train tracks hard with it. I suggested he buy these (below) and then went through metaphysical trauma because he is only an OE parts guy, but saw the picture. 3 weeks later he gave me his credit card and said to press the “order now” button on tire rack. Put some 20” Yokohama G015 tires on them and LOVES it.
