that would have to be mine too...my first shoes , 66 years old..do people still do that with shoes ?

Probably first shoes I guess, since one of the criteria is it's not usable. If it was usable, that'd be my M1 Garand from 1941.

My 75 year old "entitled" father in law who calls me every other day, because he was bored and his son / daughter (my wife) won't call him.

Does that count?

Well I certainly did not buy it new but my razor is from the 50's. A Gillette super speed that I still use daily.

I can't read. Completely overlooked the not usable part.

Since you require that it NOT be still be useable, I can't think of anything. If usable, it would probably be tools that I bought in 1964, and still use.

1917 Smith & Wesson .32 revolver. Dad‘s gun that he kept after horse trading. Micrometers and calipers from mid-40s. Father-in-law bought them right out of the army after getting a job as a machinist. Mantle clock from the early 1900s. Grandmother’s clock. Edit: I use the mics for shims when assembling rear ends.

The only thing I can think of right now is this set of Channel locks I received in the 1st year of my apprenticeship program (1981). Local 198 in Baton Rouge, La. gave each student a set.

Nice! I still have side cutters I bought in 1976 while working as a tech at Chevy dealer. Trimmed thousands of wheel bearing cotter pins doing brakes.

Not usable throws a bit of a kink in it for me.. I have several 100+ year old guns that still work fine. I have a WWI first aid kit that is still in the sealed sardine can that I wouldn't consider 'usable'.. and some very old ammo haha

ahh not useable....

a desk clock from the early 50's that doesnt keep time.

My CPS2000 water gun, circa 1996, never equaled. Never surpassed.

I have many old things but the oldest thing I have that I bought new is a Crosman 760 pump BB gun. I bought it in 1966 brand new with my birthday money. It still works but it is a bit to small for me now.
