For all you folks who served lets see some photos.

My first deployment on USS Michigan 1994. I was COB (Chief of the Boat) for a day. It something they do for fun, it is part of C.O. for a day. The COB is the senior enlisted man onboard the boat.

My last deployment on Michigan in 1999. I spent about 2 and half to 3 years underway underwater. Wouldn't trade it for love or money. Made my best friends in the world there.

When I made Petty Officer 1st Class, or E-6.

My VIP visit to the USS Independence....

Not taken by me but I was aboard during this as ships company. I was among those in whites for the flight deck picture.....it was cold when that pic was taken! USS Essex CVS-9. Quite a thrill for a 19 year old.

It certainly was at the time. I forget what I had for supper two days ago but I remember this clearly and that was some time ago......I'll soon be 62.

We were on patrol in June of 66 in the Med. This is a P2V Neptune navy Patrol plane. I served as the second mechanic and rode in the cockpit handling the engines, fuel load, etc.
