Your AcDelco Oil May Now Be Phillips

Just an FYI, if any of you use AcDelco branded oils and fluids, it may be blended and bottled by Phillips. We occasionally buy oil from a parts wholesaler out of Birmingham, and they carry AcDelco and Motorcraft parts and oils, and when speaking with the sales rep. for our area, he said said Phillips was outdoing Mobil and Shell as far as blending prices for the AcDelco branded products. Dad bought a case of AcDelco 15w40 and a case of Dexron III transmission fluid, the former at $2.32/qt, the latter at $2.05 a qt, and sure enough they were Phillips style case packaging and Phillips bottles. So again, just an FYI.

I think they were Mobil at one point if i am correct.

What I've seen has been mostly Mobil, sometimes Shell, and most recently Phillps. I think they take the best bid at the time, much like Wal Mart with Supertech.

I haven't noticed it at my work yet but the Mopar 8&9speed ATF jugs are SHELL
