Guy is selling his 97 Lincoln, here's a quote from his add:

"car uses Synthetic blend, and is almost ready for full synthetic ( Engines need a few oil changes with Synthetic blend to prepare the gaskets for full synthetic, if done properly, they won't start leaking)"

Is there anyone out there with a clue? (Other than BITOGER's)

I'd give the guy a pass. I imagine the age demographic selling a 97 Lincoln is high enough that modern science has flown over his head most of his life.

Wouldn't words like, mint, cream puff, low miles, garaged, be better to sell a car? I'd skip what he said and say well maintained instead.

No no, once you go semi or full synthetic, you can never go back to conventional.

The funny part is someone is going to read that ad and think "dang this guy really knows what he's talking about".

A friend of mine still uses blend as in the 90's he had a Ford van that he said leaked badly with full syn. Go figure? Many times people get things in their head and after decades they can't get them out even though things have changed greatly.

I'll bet the guy selling the 14 year old Lincoln is kicking himself for neglecting to mention that "the engine has been continuously protected by Slick 50, MMO, and Prolong treatments at every oil change."

Well you can if you want to blow up your engine and get cold sores in your mouth for the rest of your life. . . . .
