YouTube TV has always worked hard to offer you the content you love, delivered the way you want, with features that make it easy to enjoy the best of live TV.

To keep up with the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service, we’re updating our monthly price from $72.99/month to $82.99/month starting January 13, 2025.

We don’t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this has an impact on our members. We are committed to bringing you features that are changing the way we watch live TV, like unlimited DVR storage and multiview*, and supporting YouTube TV’s breadth of content and vast on-demand library of movies and shows.

The price of your YouTube TV Base Plan membership will change in your first billing cycle on or after January 13, 2025, and will be charged to your payment method on file going forward. To view your current plan, go to Settings > Membership for updated information. If you are currently on a trial or promotional price for the Base Plan, that promotion is still honored and unchanged.

We hope YouTube TV continues to be your service of choice, but we understand that some of our members may want to cancel their subscriptions. As always, family managers have the ability to pause or cancel anytime. You can find more information in our Help Center.

With lots of exciting shows and live events ahead in the new year, we’ll continue to strive to deliver the best of TV, all in one place. Thank you for being a loyal YouTube TV member.

Sincerely,
The YouTube TV team"

I’m too chicken to cut the cable. I pay $220 out the door now for FiOS. It was once $140 for exactly the same. And each renewal they would offer up something around $250.

My excuse is to have the Flyers games. I don’t even truly watch all and some are even only on ESPN+ and Disney.

All providers seem bad these days….

Yep. YouTube TV has steadily increased their pricing since they launched at $25/mo. about 10 years ago. The cost is getting right up there with traditional cable TV offerings. Here is a hack that I used to stave off the increase for another six months. I'll reconsider my options for viewing content before June 2025.

Comcast Xfinity went up $20 too and the Dow had a rough patch. I know we have our disagreements but now who u wanna blame? You can’t blame Mickey Mouse. Couldn’t help myself. I just saw the Disney reference above. Yes, I know the rule about…

I've had YTTV for a few years. Went to a couple other services amd always came back to YT. The user interface is much better and the channel selection (we mostly watch sports) is better.

Recently my ad-blocker failed on YT. It was a temporary annoyance but if I ever again in my life have to sit through and listen to another loud and obnoxious WAYMO commercial, the one with the two drunk party girls is the pinnacle of retardation-inducing repulsiveness, I will dedicate the rest of my life to destroying not just YT but also WAYMO and I will be aiming for complete eradication. :ROFLMAO:

I'd almost consider Dish network but unfortunately many years ago when Speed TV was speedvision they had neat content like wrc, powerboat racing etc. Now it's way too much nascar.

My friend moved from renting a garage apartment to a studio condo. He has Metro PCS cellular for $35 per month.
We added Internet for $40 per month. He got the $250 modem for free, except for the governor's tax.
He had Netflix.

I am sick and tired of the $260 I pay Xfinity for Internet, cable TV and security.

I rationalize it because I am still better off than I was with cable (now down to $50/mo. in savings.)
I also enjoy not having to rent equipment to decipher a signal that I am paying through the rear for.
However, I'm open for other options if anyone offers a package as comprehensive as this one with the DVR options that this one has.

I spent close to $100.00 on a top-of-the line OTA antenna about three years ago. Another $40.00 on a Tablo (plus a hard drive) for recording. Best money ever spent.

What antenna do you recommend? Do indoor antennas work? Thanks in advance!

Don't know about antenna's but if you put your address in here it will tell you the signal strength by station. If you click on the station it will show you where that tower is.

Indoor antenna's only work if your very near the transmitter and away from most other noise. Usually you want to get the antenna above the roofline of surrounding houses, etc.

I'll stick with my $2.99/mo Hulu/Disney+ and $19.99/year Peacock services. So, I pay less in a year than I would with YouTube TV in a month. I dumped YouTube when they went to $72.99 and it'll just keep going up.
