Well, I am offically addicted to oil and stuff. I have no idea why exactly, but I have been hoarding oil, and filters, and related things. I have some wierd addiction now that I never had before stumbling upon this site. I have always been finicky about oil, and change it way too much, but this is getting crazy. My wife thinks I have lost my marbles. Am I going to need professional help?

I hear you. However, I was addicted to my car and car care before I came here. BITOG just fed that addiction... but I credit BITOG every time someone asks me bout my UOAs and car care.

Yikes, I went had a similiar phase myself, but nowhere near that drastic. It passes with time and you'll realize that its not important to catch every good oil deal. Avoid the oil ilse.

When I went through that phase:

Looks almost like your stash! That was taken a few months ago, still pretty much the same except now I have an extra 12 quarts of the Havoline Synthetic, some Havoline DS, a ton more oil filters, and a can of nevr-dull.

I got a p/t job in Wal-Mart's auto aisle to satisfy my need to stack quarts of oil. This way it didn't cost me money.

I got these silly metal racks. I can't wait until we move. We only bought this house as a temp (2 year) headquarters - now interest rates have come up, Seattle area prices are up 12% this last period (leading the nation)....good for us to sell, but now inventories are rising (yet we can't find a thing).......arg....

Thanks guys. I wish I could take credit for the shelves, but I purchased the house with the detached garage, and the shelves already built in. He overbuilt everything in the garage...which I like!

I would love to build shelves like that, but it's impossible to get 2xX lumber that isn't/won't twist and crack on you in this town. Must be nice to live where they actually have trees!
