Yet another bash on quick lubes.

I guess in the end all that matters is you got that receipt stating the service was completed as per the maintenance schedule. Whether they changed the filter, or added/changed the right oil. Granted it's no good for the engine if they neglect either of the two....

They'll care but they'll care to the point they are paid to care. Procedures, standards or whatever the higher ups demand of them.

They care lots. They care to sell you every service they have whether you need it or want to hear about it or not. They can care a great deal when they are on commission.

I got an oil change at a tire shop the other day as I was getting new tires put on. I recently hurt my back and was due for an oil change.

$24.99 for an oil/filter change. They pump bulk Agip motor oil and use an Autopart International oil filter.

Haven't had someone change my oil in many years...felt kinda weird!

I missed changing my own oil but in a kind of way it was kinda nice having it done...almost like a trip into forbidden territory for BITOGers.

Had Sears do an LOF on my friend's Prius.

For $20 they filled it with Valvoline Premium Conventional bulk and a Powerflo filter.

My wife's car will go to a local shop for a OC, as my back is recovering too. It's a trusted shop that does my work when I can not. I bring my own stuff, and let me watch. Can't beat that.
