XtraSeal valve stem caps w/ silicone seals

Purchased these aftermarket valve stem covers due to shops replacing O.E.M. valve stem covers with other valve covers of different sizes and shapes after tires replaced . The O.E.M. can cost up to $80 for 4 . Placed the XtraSeal on the '25 KIA Soul LX . Hopefully they'll hold up .

Those are nice. If I have the metal OEM valve stem caps, I remove them before buying new tires.

After the local tire shop I frequent lost my nice Mercedes valve stem caps, and ending up with mismatched caps, I decided to forgo the nice caps and just put on cheap ones, so I bought a bag of these.

I bought them in gray, hoping that they would stand out and I'd get the same ones back, but wouldn't worry about it if I didn't, since they are so cheap. Swapped out all the valve stem caps for the gray ones. First time I went back to the tire shop, I came home with a black cap on one tire.

Perhaps the answer is to remove all the valve stem caps and put them in the glove box, before going to the tire shop, and put them back on after the service.

I have recently swapped out the cheap flexible plastic valve caps with these slightly oversized, rigid ABS plastic units. These are longer, easier to grip and easily align with the valve stem threads, especially on wheels with a tight clearance area.

The XtraSeal were under $7 for 100 . That's 7 cents per cap . Keeping 4 extra in each car . Will likely use a few other with riding mower and other equipment .
