That is true. In certain ratios, the MoDTC and ZDDP are synergistic.

But go overboard with either one and you may have the antagonistic effect they described.

The things a genius has to put up with when dealing with common folk. I think it is just my stubborn streak. Actually I trust his Specialty Forumlations' SX-UP is the best additive, but probably not justified costwise when you consider how I would adulterate it.

Anyway, might as well spill the beans: The additive data I posted above is rounded off numbers from a 5w30 Redline motor oil UOA. And I do believe it is a worthy additive. Flash, a member of the Ford Trucks site is very knowledgable on oil (I believe he is in the industry) and has advocated using Redline as an additive. Also we have seen some good results on UOAs here where one quart of Redline was added to M1. So as far as I am concerned, the Redline can't hurt and may help. And is on closeout sale at Advance Auto for $6 quart.
