Is there some warehouse in Death Valley with a greenhouse on top and 330 fahrenheit inside?
Is Dollar General shipping oil to the North Pole to store it in negative 50 fahrenheit warehouses?
Come to think of it, what temperatures will hurt oil that isn't being run in an engine?
I dont know the temp that an oil will fail but I do know that a warehouse can and does get very hot.Especially at the top where many have steel/tin roofs that radiate the suns heat like an oven.
I also know that some things are stored in semi and other type of storage trailers/cargo bins that are located outside in the weather, hot and cold.
This may or may not apply to the stores in question but I have seen this type of storage at Wal-Mart and at Rite-Aid.
We dont know what the oil in question went through before being put on the shelves.
All API oils must pass the API testing before it can display the API logo.
This applies to all oil wether it is Uni-Lube or any other oil.
Coastal Uni-Lube used to be a part of El Paso Corp.
It was sold to Warren Oil Company of North Carolina.

This is not Warren Performance Products that makes Super Tech oil nor are they associated in any way.
IIRC,the sale took place in Jan.2005.
