Any Worldpac customers selling World Sourceone batteries?

Historically sold a lot of Interstate but lately see quite a bit of them comeback and the country of origin is all over the place. Tried selling OE batteries - VW/AUDI and MB often coming back (my local MB batteries are just Interstate/JCI), BMW’s actually being decent for the most part though. Sold a couple and so far okay - not sure if they are EastPenn or Exide. Curious what shops are selling these days. We primarily only do Euro.

They are Deka made. I dont sell them often because we have local vendors that carry Deka labeled Deka batteries and we are not far from the Deka factory so that is a selling point. We have been selling Deka for 15 years since we dropped AC Delco Batteries due to high warranty rates. The warranty rate on Deka batteries has been negligible. Deka does make some of the service batteries for BMW by the way.

Installed about 10 of them or so in the past week. I guess we’ll see how they hold.

I doubt you will have any issues. One thing I would do, since Worldpac has been sold and that is a private label battery, is keep an eye on the manufacturer part number listed in speed dial on the batteries. Example a battery for a 2015 Tiguan is a group 47. The lead acid WSO battery has a manufacturer number of 647MF and the AGM is 9A47 which are Deka part numbers. Those numbers changing would indicate a vendor change away from Deka.
