And also, the Napa Platinum is the same as Wix XP

There are some PN's that can still be ordered non-e-core. They end in "CL" for Classic style. They are really only made for old applications though.
I don't think you will find them on store shelves though since its just redundant coverage. . Would have to mail order them.

PF454 = ecore
PF454CL = old style

I started using WIX when GM obsoleted the OE length filter in my '04 Silverado HD. Since then on my '11 Silverado HD, I've bounced between WIX & non-ecore AC Delco filters when I can find them.

Both motors were 6.0 L

Looking @ NAPA's Canadian website, they list Gold & Platinum filters besides the PROselect Line which is better the Gold or Platinum? There is also oa 'no name' filter, example PF48e = SFL 37060.

I haven't got a WIX equivalent of the PF454 filter,

For the old Chevy small block WIX has the following filters:

57099 = PF454 3.30" long (no ADBV)

51069 = PF25 4.33" long (no ADBV)

51060 = PF1218 5.17" long (ADBV)

51061 = PF35 5.17" long (no ADBV)

Thanks for those numbers.

Rock Auto still lists the classic ACDelco filters. I have a few PF-52s for my Olds and they have round holes inside and feel quite solid compared to the Fram Extra Guard I used before BITOG.

Napa Gold is Wix, the regular Wix filter we all know and love.

Napa Platinum is Wix XP, a wire-backed synthetic filter like Fram Ultra

The SFL 37060 is Napa Silver. Same media as Proselect, but a couple more pleatings than Proselect.

Did Napa Canada's pricing confuse you, too?

I know the Platinum is the Wix XP, but when looking at my G37 filter offerings on the new, updated Napa Canada website, it shows the Napa Platinum at half the price of the Napa Gold, and they want $20 for the Napa Gold!

Napa equivalent for the WIX 57045 (upsize for current GM pickups):

NSF 27045 (PROselect) = $5.79 CDN

SFL 37045 = $6.99 CDN

NGF 7045 (Gold) = $13.89 CDN

PFL 47045 (Platinum) = $18.49 CDN

Okay, your application's price tiering was "normal," as far as Napa Canada's pricing is "normal" in the first place. The 1358 series for the G37 was out of whack with the Gold and Platinum. I'd recommend finding a Uni-Select affiliated parts store if you can, since they have Wix, and you might be able to get a better price out of them than Napa. Unfortunately, our Napas don't get the big sales on Napa Golds like the American ones do, at least in my recent memory.

I checked the Bumper to Bumper site (linked thru Uni-Select) and there is nothing within a hour & a half drive to my location. Plus they're in locations that I don't have any other business dealings.

That certainly doesn't help. Auto Value affiliated ones also might provide you with some luck. If you happen to be okay with Baldwins, the Acklands-Grainger people reduced the pricing significantly recently. Over a year ago, they wanted $20 for the filter for my G37. I noticed their pricing went down to around $10 online, but I went in, and got one for $6, which is, as you know, pretty impressive for a good filter in Canada.

Napa Platinum is on sale in the US, so maybe it might be on sale up there, too. The US sale price on the Platinum is $8.24
