What are the good filter brands these days?

The best I can offer is this.
Champ Labs now makes the lower cost MV filters.
Turbo MV-filter has a yellow bypass; non-Turbo has a blue bypass. The blue bypass is also seen on the ST6607 (Champ Labs made) and others.

I would like to know the difference in Bypass Pressure between both Oil Filters. I am wondering if Amsoil with their awesome Oil Filters has 1 oil filter for the NA and 1 for the Turbo. We do have a certain member who is the Oil Filter expert on this board, and I am sure he will chime in.
A few weeks ago a friend asked me if I knew if NAPA was running their Filter Days sale. I told him yes, but also shared that it was my understanding that Wix no longer makes the NAPA Gold filters.
When my friend went in to NAP to stock up on filters, he asked the NAPA employee about this. The NAPA employee stated that the NAPA Gold in the Eastern USA is no longer a Wix, but in the Western USA, the NAPA Gold is still a Wix filter. Since I buy filters for my MB and BMW from FCP, I haven't bought a NAPA Gold in some time, so I have no idea if this is true. Can anyone else validate or invalidate this claim?
Too much of a blanket statement re. M+H filters. From what I have seen, the M+H filters made in Europe are still OEM quality, and up to par with other quality European filter manufacturers, such as Purflux, UFI, Hengst and Mahle.
I can echo this statement.
The M+H filter for my older volvo is still the same as it ever was (or sure appears to be).
More commodity mass market M+H filters here in the US seem to be where things have gone downhill.
