Wix a/f made in France??

Wix is part of Dana's Automotive Aftermarket Group 'Under-hood' Division, and is a tier 1 supplier. So, yes, your OEM filter, and the Wix filter are 'probably' the same. Wix has plants in: North Carolina, Great Britain, China, Poland, Venezuela. I don't see a plant in France, but if it came in a Wix box, stamped "Made in France", I'd take it at face value.

Accel Cool Blue line of air filters are also made in France. They do tell you this but its printed right on the box.

I too try to buy made in North American parts. Canada and Mexico parts are hard to avoid for some models. A friend was looking at a new Dodge truck on lot a while back. There was about 20-30 trucks and every truck he liked was Made in Mexico and they were sitting on a lot up here in Northern Michigan. He asked the salesman, got anything made in the USA. The Fords were, so thats what he got. Was Ford/Dodge dealer.
