I recently had my car in for a recall, and the dealer did a thorough inspection. One finding was some ignition harness wiring damage caused by rodents. The dealer repair was a replacement harness and a considerable amount of labor. I can see the damage and it look to me like the wire cover is chewed through in three places, but the wire itself is not damage. I have ordered liquid electrical tape and Tesa friction tape from Amazon.
That’s the plan. My question, though is whether I should cover the entire harness with Honda rodent tape, which is soaked with capsaicin. Saw a few folks on YouTube who swear by it but would like some bitogers.
Also open to comments on whether fixing a harness is ghetto.
Thanks in advance
