Spark plug hole fog job as Red Green might do. 26 years. Runs great.

With the air filter removed, right (i.e., not spraying into the air filter itself)?

Also, usually "..." implies that the answer is obvious. It may be for you, but not for some of us. You're also answering for someone else, who may have done what we used to do, which is to simply disconnect the fuel line from the side of the outboard and let it run out of fuel, which usually took 30+ seconds.

Yes...with that air filter remowed... You just dissconnect that fuel line...and wait until those last 10seconds and then you start to spray till it dies...thats official procedure from articles I red about "how to"...

For conserving your (4stroke) engines...you can also use 2stroke oil (or you just do a last run on 2stroke mix.... 2stroke oils tend to have less acids than PCMOs...and they also burn off easier when it comes time to start that engine again....

"....." just represents my mindflow

When I use fogging oil in a boat engine I squirt two cans at once into a 4 barrel carb to stall it.

Fogging oil is more of a foam so there is little chance of a hydrolock.

Fogging oil also has a tacky component so it will stick to the cylinder walk vs puddle at the lowest point.

I know the majority of posts have stated that fogging oil isn't needed for OPE, but I think I'll use it (in the spark-plug hole, after the engine stalls from lack of gas). I was really on the fence, but being curious about how the plug looks and wanting to tinker outweighed whether it is 100% necessary.

RE: 2-stroke oil use instead of motor oil (where specified in the owner's manual): sounds pretty smart, and I can see how it would be beneficial to use instead of the owner's-manual-recommended motor oil. I bet they recommend motor oil only because they know it will be readily available and might be better than nothing. I think using fogging oil is in the same vein.

This vid shows how to properly "FOG" an engine, (around the 2 minute mark) if you are just going to spray some of it into the spark plug holes, that isn't fogging anything. Any oil will do for that.
Imo, this guy gets carried away with the amount and the times he sprays into the cylinders after it has already been fogged and quit. A couple balsts in each cylinder, cycle the engine/pistons a couple times then you're done.
As far as fuel stabilizer goes, I just use Seafoam. It does more than just stabilize the fuel so it makes more sense to use it than just regular stabilizer.
