Looking at winter tires, prefer factory studded vs locally installed:
2015 Accord, winter rims differ from factory summer rims, 215 60 r16

Sumitomo Ice Edge
General Altimax Arctic 12, made in Germany (Continental), put these on a Rav at work performed ok but are beyond noisy on bare pavement.
Toyo Observe G3 Ice- favoring these right now.

Studded is always noisy on bare pavement from my experience. I recall way back and probably still true, Nokian had some softer rubber under the studs for the hard pavement. That would be probably Hak 10's now?

Do they need to be studded? advantages with ice and hard pack snow but tradeoffs rest of the time.

I'm way east and south from there but our winters have been pretty poor as of late. I stopped getting studded long ago but still keep regular winter tires up to date on my families vehicles.

I was actually just on phone with Continental trying to find some VikingContact 8 for 2 of my fleet. No luck yet here in USA according to them.

Studs on bare pavement are a serious detriment to traction. I’d have to search to dig up the test, but from what I recall, the difference in braking distance on clear pavement with studs vs. without was worse than the difference going from all season to dedicated 3PMSF winter tires.

How much are you actually driving on surfaces where studs will be at worst neutral?

Well......we don't buy them for clear pavement do we. I drive in the foothills of the Rockies with poor snow removal, my preferred vehicle to drive is a 4x4 the Honda has it's role as well.

If you must use studded tires, get the Nokian Hakka 10. They actually use 2 different kinds of studs for the inner and outer tread. The studs also have shock absorbers, so they do less damage to the pavement.

Nokian also has the cheaper Nordman line, which is some of their older designs. The Nordman North 9 is the old Hakka 9 and features the same kind of studs.

On the Accord I would be concerned with noise and harshness as well.
I have had noisy Contis on other vehicles too
