windows tinted

Well today was the day i got my windows tinted. 5% rear 40% front i absolutely love it wish the fronts could be as dark as the rears. But because of laws they cannot be. Next I'm going to get wheels. Im probably going to get black wheels and maybe my headlights tinted to. After that ill upgrade the stereo and thatll probably be it.

Tint is awsome, I have 5% on all my windows except the windshield of course. Makes a huge difference in the summer. I just don't understand the headlight tint? Why not get smoked covers you can remove them at night so you have full brightness?

Yes. But the car isnt the issue it was mostly the dealers causing all my issues.

+1. The one that was financed on monthly payments.

Given that OE glass these days has a decent amount of uv filtering if not its own tint (typically, certainly on every car I own), I wouldn't want to put too much tint upfront for safety reasons. But darker tint is good for small kids in the back seat.

"Because of laws" so you won't run into things at night. The law steps in when common sense fails.

Really??? Lol the law steps in because every law is a good law? That statement is so terrible. And yes I would have gone darker in the front if the law allowed it. Seeing isnt an issue I could have gone to 25% and still have seem fine.

Apparently. As some in the lighting forum say, headlights are a life safety item - no idea why anyone would want to tint or in any way reduce their efficacy. People spend lots of money improving lighting output. Not sure why one would want it impeded.

They make stuff that makes them look darker but doesnt effect their efficiency apparently. Id have to learn more before 8 would do it though

Looks good! Window tint is usually the first thing I do when I get a vehicle. I cant stand clear windows!

People do a lot of dumb stuff to their cars. Extreme camber, [censored]-can exhausts, etc.

I like the factory headlight enhancement of the Audi and BMW "Demon Eye" also "Angel Eye" variety.

Unfortunately, it's illegal in both states I've lived in. I've only been ticketed a few times, and not recently either.
