does anyone else have this issue,

it has been pretty cold here, as low as -2 C

and I've been having a strange problem, or annoyance to be exact,

all the windows freeze from the inside. I had to scrape the ice/frost from the inside of the car!

I've never seen this on any other vehicle parked outside.

It indicates that moisture is inside the car and it freezes, dont know why though.

Use defrost, its your breath making inside humid.
if its too cold for defrost outside air(after heating) will also have almost no humidity and remove moisture from the vehicle.

Can help to leave door open for a min when getting out to let the humid air out.
then next morning it wont be froze on the inside.

I parked my car in the heated shop one day when I was a tech at work.
Drove out into the bitter cold and soon learned that was a mistake!
Had big time frost inside the vehicle.

Check under your floor mats and if possible under your carpet to see if anything is wet. Also check trunk by spare tire.

My daughters CRV had a clogged sunroof drain and that leaked onto/under carpet and padding and soaked everything. I removed passengers seat, lifted carpet, shop vac everything and then rented an industrial dehumidifier from Home Depot. Between vacuum and dehumidifier I got over 1 gallon of water out.

My wife's Pilot had a bad seam seal on firewall and again soaked the padding but top of carpet was dry. That started smelling like mold/mildew and dirty sweat socks. Again lots of interior removal, vacuum, dehumidify.

I had bad seam seals on a Sonata and as it got older a Corolla. Some by wheel wells, some light gasket areas etc.

Park it with a window or 2 open by 1 cm. Car interior will vent, should eliminate the problem.
I like to park in the sun (if it is out, & no chance of rain/etc.) & crack ALL the windows half an inch (1 cm or so) for a few hours-that dries them right out. The sun warms the car enough to thaw it out, & the dry air blowing through dries it out. If it comes back, check for windshield or sunroof water leaks.

My T880 is parked inside at night. It can be -50* outside, there's no big time frost.

I'd say it's more from carpets or floormats thawing out but not dry so the interior was humid.

Just had this issue, which happens often. Had my Trailblazer thawing in the shop after freezing rain. Parked outside and she Iced up from the inside. Drove around with a window partially open to vent the moisture.

I also do what I can to keep the mats clear of snow or really any moisture.

At any rate, if it's not the heater core leaking, it's just life in the cold.
